SBWPC Continues its Next Endorsement Round on April 8th.
Meeting Details
Join us on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at 5:45 p.m. Candidate Assessment Teams (CATs) will present their reports and recommendations for endorsement.
SBWPC is Considering Endorsement in the Following Races
U.S. Congress, District 24
SB County Auditor-Controller
SB County Clerk-Recorder, Assessor
CA Governor
CA Lieutenant Governor
CA State Treasurer
CA Insurance Commissioner
CA State Superintendent of Public Instruction
Possibly, if time permits:
CA State Controller
CA Member, State Board of Equalization, Dist. 2
Meeting Protocol
Meeting starts at 5:45 PM
This is a members-only endorsement meeting. To attend, make a reservation. Our membership committee will verify your membership status, and you’ll be contacted if it’s lapsed. Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in and find your seat.
Meeting location will be shared 24 hours before event.
Public Comments
Members are welcome to participate in the Public Comment section of the meeting. Each member is limited to a one-minute comment. Alternatively, you can submit a concise (one-minute) written comment that will be read by the Elections and Appointments Chair. Please click below to send your brief comment.
For Candidates
You’re cordially invited to attend the meeting. As a guest of SBWPC, you don’t need to purchase a membership to attend.
Here’s how you can make your Candidate Statement:
If you’re attending live, you can speak for up to two minutes.
If you’re unable to attend, you can have a member or campaign member present and read your statement on your behalf.
You can also submit a candidate statement by clicking the button below. The E&A chair(s) will read it for you.
Alternatively, you can submit a 2-minute video via a Google Drive link or Dropbox.
Endorsement Closed Session | Board Only
After considering the public comments and CAT reports, the Board will convene in closed session to deliberate and vote. Members, guests, and candidates will be requested to leave the meeting during this time.
Endorsement Results
The endorsement results will be first shared with each candidate via call or email by a member of the CAT who interviewed them. After contacting everyone, the results will be shared electronically with the membership, on social media platforms, and through news releases.
